I think the thing I miss the most is the automatically heated toilet seat. As soon as your bottom hits the seat, it feels the warmth, and it's heavenly. But this is coming from an American who is too used to using a freezing cold toilet seat -- I'm sure the heated seat is standard in Asia. Almost everyday, there were fresh towels in a bag hanging onto our room's doorknob. Inside the bag, there were also fresh yukata, hand towels, and other amenities. Despite how compact the room was, I'd say I can store underneath the bed three big unexpanded suitcases. The neighborhood was quiet, and there are ample restaurants in the area. There's even a 7-11 three minutes walking distance. Although the hotel does not have washers/dryers, there's a laundromat that is walking distance as well. Most importantly of all -- and I say this as a predominantly English speaker -- the staff spoke English such that they were able to understand and respond to what my boyfriend and I were asking/saying. The staff were kind and patient, so please, if you are speaking English to them, be patient and kind to them as well. Don't be that rude, entitled tourist/non-Japanese citizen.

Everyone complains that the rooms are small but I think they forget this is Tokyo, Japan. The rooms are perfectly clean with everything you could need. Good size bed (my partner is 6ft8 and yes his feel touched the other wall but we still made it work.) There is good storage under the bed for 2 large suitcases and other room for smaller bags. They had a vanity style area and very large TV attached to the wall which was great. The location was genuinely amazing!! So close to metro stations but also very walkable to Skytree and Senso-Ji Temple if you enjoy the walk. The staff were very accommodating and polite. English is spoken however using translate is also an option. They are very understanding. They have a very small selection of drinks and snacks available for purchase on the ground floor.

Comfy and had most basis amenities, own shower and bathtub, albeit small, almost daily replenishment of everyday items and changing of towels. Other features like bedside USB charge ports, a universal plug point on the dressing table, hair dryer, kettle, drinkable tap water, nice big tv, bed room slippers, large luggage space under the bed. Mini snack shelf, an ice machine and microwave on the lobby floor for some basic convenience. My room had a decent view to the Tokyo Skytree, that's a plus. Super near to Akiba, along the way there was even a Tamiya and Super Gun shop. Ideal location if your goal is to geek out in Akiba.

- Room had a shoehorn and space under the bed to put luggage in. It also had a universal power outlet that is earthed, so I could plug my laptop and have be it charged efficiently. - Reasonable price to replace lost room cards. Staff were always happy to help and would send advance notices of elevator maintenance hours so I could have time to plan outings around it. - Drinks and snacks could be bought from level one, indoors, so I didn't have to go out to the convenience store late at night or when it was raining.

Can't go wrong with APA hotels for a quick place to rest. Services and shopping offers are improving with time. Sufficent amenities(toothbrush, combs, razor), clean beds and toilet. Single room is ideal for single person, unless you are small sized, e.g Asian size, squeezing 2 people in a room is highly not recommended but otherwise single person has enough space. Great selection of in-room services and entertainment such as free VOD and massage services. Close to Akihabara and some convenient stores.
